ST. PAUL'S AND TRINITY PARISH (EPISCOPAL) - TIVOLI, NY
St. Paul's and Trinity Parish, 39 Woods Road, Tivoli, NY, is a small, historic Episcopal parish just south of the border with Columbia County and housed in a lovely stone building built by the Livingston family in 1868. We're looking for a part-time organist and choir master/mistress to play our 1879 C. J. Hook and Hastings (tracker) organ for one Sunday liturgy a week at 9:30 AM and approximately 5 mid-week evening services during the year and to lead our choir. The choir consists of five volunteers who practice before and/or after the Sunday liturgy, as some of them live in NYC during the week. The Vicar would like to work collaboratively with someone knowledgeable in Episcopal Church music. The hymns are chosen well in advance from the Hymnal 1982 exclusively, as the congregation's musical repertoire is still in the process of expanding. The organist would be encouraged to choose his/her own prelude, postlude, and communion anthem each week. Our liturgical style is in the middle of the Episcopal spectrum, neither Evangelical nor Anglo-Catholic, but a happy conflation.

The stipend is $9150.00 (gross) per year, paid twice monthly. Funerals and weddings would be extra. The parish pays Workers' Comp, disability, our portion of FICA, and unemployment taxes. The organist would have free access to the church during the week for practice and/or lessons. References required. Those interested should contact the Vicar, The Rev.
